# Terms of Service Last updated: April 2, 2026 ## TL;DR **We're in pilot mode.** That means things might change, break, or get better. We're building this with you, not at you. **Pricing can evolve.** We'll give prior notification before pricing changes take effect. Liam's free pricing for individuals is subject to change with at least 7 days' notice, and Liam does not take payment details from you or charge you automatically to use the Service. **Your data is yours.** When Liam finishes a job, we delete your email conversations. Only metadata sticks around (who sent what, when). We're not building a data warehouse. And Liam never sends emails without your explicit request. **We can end this.** If things go sideways, we can terminate your account or you can delete everything. No hard feelings. **Disputes stay grounded.** If something goes wrong, we'll handle it under applicable law and in the appropriate forum. ## 1. Introduction These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Liam ("Service"), an AI Copilot application provided by Sintem, Inc. ("we", "us", or "our"), operating as Liam. By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. ## 2. Service Description Liam is an AI Copilot that integrates with your email and calendar accounts (including Gmail, Outlook, and other providers) to: - Analyze incoming emails and conversations - Generate draft responses based on your writing style - Manage email labels and organization - Learn your communication preferences over time **Important:** Liam never sends emails on your behalf without your explicit request. We only create draft responses for your review and approval. **Pilot Phase:** The Service is currently in pilot/beta phase. Features may change, be added, or removed without prior notice. Performance and availability are not guaranteed during this phase. ## 3. Account Registration To use Liam, you must create an account by connecting your email account via secure OAuth authentication. You are responsible for: - Maintaining the security of your account credentials - All activities that occur under your account - Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access ## 4. Pricing and Payment **Individuals:** Individual users may use Liam for free, subject to these Terms and any product limits or feature availability we may apply from time to time. Liam's free pricing for individuals is subject to change with at least 7 days' prior notice. **Teams and Enterprise:** Access for teams, departments, or enterprise deployments is available under custom pricing and may be governed by separate commercial terms, order forms, or similar written agreements. Where a separate commercial agreement conflicts with these Terms on pricing or payment matters, the separate commercial agreement will control for the applicable paid offering. **Payment Details and Charges:** Liam does not take payment details from you to use the Service, and you will not be charged automatically for using the Service. Any paid Teams or Enterprise arrangement requires separate commercial terms or other written agreement before charges apply, and any pricing notice periods for Teams or Enterprise are governed by that separate agreement. **Refunds:** Refunds for paid or custom offerings, where applicable, are handled on a case-by-case basis and may be further governed by a separate commercial agreement. Key points: - When Liam completes a job, email conversation content is deleted - We retain only metadata (sender, recipient, message IDs) and your writing preferences - We use secure infrastructure providers to run the Service - You can request complete data deletion at any time by contacting hey@doitliam.com ## 6. Acceptable Use You agree NOT to use the Service to: - Violate any applicable laws or regulations - Infringe on intellectual property rights of others - Transmit malware, spam, or harmful content - Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts - Use the Service for any automated or bulk processing - Reverse engineer or attempt to extract our AI models ## 7. Account Termination **By You:** You may disconnect your account and stop using the Service at any time. You can request complete data deletion by emailing hey@doitliam.com. **By Us:** We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for: - Violation of these Terms - Fraudulent or illegal activity - Non-payment of applicable fees - Any reason during the pilot phase Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. ## 8. Intellectual Property The Service, including all software, algorithms, AI models, and content, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights to the Service. You retain all rights to your email content and data. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your data solely for providing the Service. ## 9. Disclaimers THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. **AI Limitations:** Liam uses artificial intelligence to generate email drafts. AI-generated content may be inaccurate, inappropriate, or incomplete. You are solely responsible for reviewing and editing all AI-generated content before sending. Liam never sends emails without your explicit approval. **No Guarantee:** We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, especially during the pilot phase. ## 10. Limitation of Liability TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR USE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM. ## 11. Indemnification You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or violation of any rights of another party. ## 12. Changes to Terms We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service.
